Vacation Stays
What kind of accommodations are available for my Dog?
What formal training does your staff have?
Is there someone onsite 24 hours per day?
You may choose between a Private Suite (typically reserved for Dogs who do not get along with other Dogs) or the Vacation House. The House is a social stay, complete with Dog friends and staff. Vacation House guests enjoy velvet furniture as well as the opportunity to sleep in bed with their caretaker. Our suites are spacious and beautifully appointed with chandeliers and Dog artwork. Please work with our Resort Coordinator to pick the best accommodation for your Pup.
Safety is our number one goal. Our team of professional caregivers are trained in Dog body language, breed-specific traits, basic Dog training, and safe group play. They are certified in Canine CPR and First aid.
Yes, we are staffed 24 hours per day.
How much time will my Dog spend with his/her caretakers?
Your Dog will be with his/her caregivers 24 hours per day, so there’s plenty of quality time to bond and snuggle.
What kind of activities will my Dog be able to participate in?
You can choose for your Dog to participate in one of our daycare programs, including The Social Club, best for Dogs who enjoy running and ruff-housing, or The Rhody Scholars Enrichment Daycare Program, designed to engage your Dog both physically and mentally with brain games, art projects, and more!
What is a typical day/night like for my vacationing Dog?
After a restful night sleeping on a comfy couch or in bed with their caregiver, your Dog will eat their breakfast privately, followed by a romp in the yard. If you’ve chosen to add daycare to your Dog’s stay, he/she will enjoy a day of play and fun activities, depending on the program choice you’ve made. There’s at least one naptime per day to ensure everyone is well-rested and happy. Dinner follows a relaxing, fun day, a little more time outside to stretch out and get some fresh air, then evening relaxing time begins. Pups are usually happily tired at the end of the day and ready for bed by 8:30 or so.
How many Dogs do you accept per night? How many do you typically have?
We can comfortably accommodate 30 guests per night; however, we typically have smaller groups of 10 and under.
What should I bring for my Dog’s vacation? What shouldn’t I bring?
Please bring your Dog’s:
- Food | Package kibble in individual meal bags. Cans and various other wet foods should be brought in their original containers.
- Medication/supplements | Please make sure each is in its original container so we are able to administer them correctly. Include detailed instructions on your booking.
- Leash/collar/harness | Ensure your Dog is safely secured to you upon entry and exit.
Please do not bring:
- Bowls, utensils, cups etc.
- Toys
- Blankets or similar
- Dog beds

daycare programs
What kind of programs do you offer?
How many staff do you have to ensure safety?
What is a typical day like for my dog?
We offer two options for your Pup’s personality and playstyle:
- The Rhody Scholars Enrichment Daycare Program
- While some Dogs thrive in the traditional daycare setting, our Rhody Scholars Daycare Program creates an enriching environment for nurturing and celebrating each Dog’s unique characteristics and natural instincts, through physically and mentally stimulating activities in a small-group setting. Fresh air, exercise, and naps to refresh and reset are included.
- The Lucky Dog Social Club
- Professionally supervised free-play Doggy daycare with friends; socialization with staff and other Dogs, fresh air and exercise, and naps to refresh and reset.
We utilize the industry gold-standard of 10 Dogs to 1 professionally trained counselor in our Social Club Program. Our Rhody Scholars enjoy a more intimate ratio of 4 Dogs to 1 professor.
Social Club Pups arrive and have individual introductions with each of their friends. Once introductions are complete, the group of friends and their counselors begin the day with supervised free play in one of our large yards. Nap times are interspersed throughout the day to keep everyone healthy and happy.
Rhody Scholars arrive and have individual introductions with their small group of friends. Once introductions are complete, the group begins their day of fun activities with their Professors. Nap times are interspersed throughout the day to keep everyone healthy and happy.
